Christian Dior

Christian Dior revolutionized haute couture with his brand. Born in 1905 in Normandy, France, Dior's creativity and vision became evident when he introduced the groundbreaking "New Look" in 1947. This iconic silhouette, characterized by a cinched waist and full skirt, marked the end of wartime conservative dressing, embracing opulence and femininity. Dior's designs, often described as timeless and elegant, continue to influence modern fashion. Christian Dior passed away in October 1957 while on vacation in Montecatini, Italy. His legacy lives on through the house of Dior, which remains a symbol of sophistication and innovation, showcasing the designer's commitment to shaping the future of style.
