It is officially event season here in Dallas and we are so excited! Some of our favorite events coming up include The Cattle Baron's Ball, SPCA Fur Ball, Two x Two Ball, and so many more. We love the different causes and charities these events fundraise for! Over the years Cattle Baron's Ball has raised over 94 million dollars to fund cancer research ad support the American Cancer Society. The Family Place is another charity that is funded through these events, according to their website, The Family Place has "served 19,038 individuals last year across all programs. We provided 64,324 days of emergency shelter, 24,019 days of transitional housing, 18,752 hours of counseling to nonresidential clients, and 7,808 hours of court-ordered group sessions for batterers." Dallas women have been shopping with us for event season for almost 50 years. I think we are all guilty of thinking we NEED a new outfit for every single event. Not only is that so stressful but also expensive! The best way to do event season is shopping than consigning.
