CONSIGNMENT TERMS & CONDITIONS
CONSIGNMENT PAYOUTS
Direct deposits are issued on the 1st of every month if your cumulative balance exceeds $50 based on final net sales. You may also use your balance as store credit.
At the end of the 90-day contract, all balances over $10 will be paid out. Balances under $10 will remain available as store credit. Please ensure your mailing address and contact information are current in your online portal.
Three payout options are available:
- Direct deposit
- Store credit
- Check by mail (checks include a $10 processing fee)
A copy of your consignment contract is always available in your online portal.
CONSIGNMENT DETAILS
Clotheshorse Anonymous (CHA) is a women’s consignment store specializing in current designer and contemporary apparel, shoes, handbags, accessories, and jewelry. Our goal is to sell your items efficiently while maximizing your payout.
Consignment appointments may be made online or by email. After your items are authenticated and priced, you may access your account under “Consignor Access” to view active and sold items.
Front porch pickup and courier service may be available to qualifying accounts. Fees may apply.
CHA reserves the right to modify consignment terms at its discretion. Any changes will be communicated via email and the consignor dashboard.
CONSIGNMENT PERIOD
The consignment period begins when your items are processed into your account and runs for ninety (90) days.
If you end your contract within the first thirty (30) days, an early termination fee of $3 per item will be charged at point of sale.
Select items may be eligible for re-contracting, contract extensions, or seasonal storage at CHA’s discretion.
ITEM & INVENTORY REQUIREMENTS
- Clothing is preferred on hangers
- Shoes must be in like-new condition
- Items must be gently loved, clean, and two (2) years old or newer
- Items must be free of stains, odors, pet hair, holes, rips, or tears
Our consignment team determines sellable categories and designers based on current trends, sell-through data, and shopper demand. Item selection is at the discretion of the consignment team.
Items discovered during processing to have defects or damage will be considered unsellable and donated without notification. Unsellable items received by mail will also be donated without notice.
Damaged items discovered on the selling floor will be donated without notification.
A $1.00 per item cleaning fee will be charged for excessive wrinkling or pet hair.
Additional processing fees may be assessed for steaming, dry cleaning, jewelry polishing, or repairs. These fees will be deducted from your account.
A $100 fee applies per item deemed inauthentic. Inauthentic items will not be returned to the client.
FUR POLICY
Fur season runs from October 15 through March 15. Inventory is limited, with preference given to capes, shrugs, vests, and fur accessories. Pricing is dependent upon original receipts and available documentation.
PRICING & MARKDOWNS
Pricing and markdowns are determined by CHA to remain competitive within the resale market and reflect current economic conditions.
Designer handbags and precious jewelry pricing will be determined in collaboration with the consignor and the consignment team.
Items will be marked down after 30 and 60 days during the contract period. Additional markdowns may occur during seasonal sales, flash sales, or based on inventory levels and shopper demand.
UNSOLD ITEMS
It is the consignor’s responsibility to retrieve unsold items. You may remove your items from the sales floor at no cost prior to the end of your contract.
Any unsold items not picked up by the end of the contract period will be donated to a local charity or become the property of Clotheshorse Anonymous for disposition. Donation receipts are available upon request.
LOST OR DAMAGED ITEMS
While we take care to protect your items, CHA is not responsible for items lost or damaged during the consignment period.
ONLINE SALES
At our discretion, select items may be listed for sale both in-store and on online selling platforms based on shopper demand. Online processing fees may apply and will be deducted from your account.
CONSENT TO RECEIVE EMAIL
By signing this contract, you consent to receive electronic correspondence from Clotheshorse Anonymous. You may unsubscribe at any time.
