Happy Thursday, friends! Today we get to chat consignment again! These monthly posts with Clotheshorse Anonymous have quickly become one some of my favorite posts. I hope you like them as much as I do, too! As y'all know, Clotheshorse Anonymous is my favorite consignment store to shop in Dallas and was well before we started working together. You are pretty familiar by now with all of the reasons I love it, and today we get to dive into that even more. Last month I shared this adorable wristlet bag, and this post about Staying on Trend When Wewaring Consignment is a really popular post. Today though, we're talking about finding those everyday pieces.
If you would have asked me a year ago what items I looked for when consignment shopping my answer would have been the same. I would have said big, designer items. Things like those designer jeans you didn't want to spend money on, or that designer bag you couldn't bring yourself to buy full price. And while shopping consignment is really great for getting those bigger designer items, it's also great for everyday wear.
I feel like with every season it's good to have a couple staple tops and pants you can rotate through. You know, those neutral pieces that lend themselves to lots of outfits. For me, that's exactly what I saw in this faux suede top. The neutral color, the fabric, and the simplicity of the cut make it super versatile. It paired perfectly with jeans for a day with my Baby Sweet. In fact, we even found her a little top with faux suede detailing. I love that I was able to wear this top for a casual look with my little. I love too that I was able to wear it the next day with a midi skirt for work!
