Happy Thursday, loves! As always, I am giddy for today's posts. Y'all know I'm a sale shopper and finding a good deal brings a big ole smile to my face. I used to think that you had to really dig to find something good at a consignment store, but that has definitely changed. It seems that every single time I walk into Clotheshorse Anonymous I walk out with some sort of gem.
This past time I was putting my usual consignment shopping tips to work, looking for some new summer accessories. I went right for the bags section and was trying on all kinds of new summer bags. Y'all, they had so many on-trend crossbody bags and basket bags! Oh, and if you're looking for a white summer bag, you can actually grab this BCBG satchel online. It will go fast though!
Anyway, after I had tried on multiple bags, I was on my way out of the purse section and was stopped by an employee. The employee is a woman I've had the pleasure of getting to know over the past year and she knows my style and aesthetic very well. When she saw I was looking at purses, she immediately walked over to the Tory Burch bag in today's post. She grabbed it, handed it to me, and said something along the lines of "this bag is so you."
And she was right! I have no idea how I overlooked it! I was so glad she showed it to me. It's white - which I love, and has the cutest perforated details for summer. Also, it was only $150 and you can't beat that for a Tory Burch bag!
It made me realize something I had not given much thought to before though. It made me realize that the greatest asset when consignment shopping is the people that work there! They know the inventory inside and out. They are worth getting to know. Tell them not only what you're looking for, but what you style is like. Heck, pull out your phone and show them some photos of yourself on instagram to help them get an idea of your personal style. If I hadn't run into the woman that knows me and my style, I would never had found this little bag.
